Stefano Launches SavePA Website to Collect Ideas for Saving Tax Dollars

Sen. Pat Stefano (R-32) has launched a website, https://www.senatorstefano.com/save-pa/ where taxpayers can find and suggest ideas to cut state spending, an alternative to Gov. Wolf’s most recent call in his proposed state budget to raise taxes by more than $3.6 billion.

“The only responsible thing to do is address the spending side of the equation before reaching into the wallets of Pennsylvania taxpayers,” Stefano said. “Before considering tax hikes we should be taking steps to save money – just like families and businesses do every day.”

Stefano said the governor’s current budget proposal contains massive increases in taxes and spending that state taxpayers can’s support and legislators do not support.

“It’s clear that Governor Wolf wants no part of the discussion that taxpayers are having across this Commonwealth about excessive government spending,” said Stefano. “He just doesn’t want to hear it. But I do and so do many of my legislative colleagues. I look forward to hearing ideas from taxpayers.”
