Private Industry Council Receives $45,000 State Grant to Promote Digital Literacy

The Private Industry Council (PIC) in Fayette County has been awarded a $45,000 Digital Literacy and Workforce Development Grant from the state Department of Labor and Industry, according to Senator Pat Stefano, (R-32).

“This funding will assist people in our area to gaining the cutting-edge skills they need to obtain good-paying jobs,” Stefano said.  “This will help employers as well to gain access to qualified candidates, so it is a win-win for our economy and our workforce.”

PIC will use the grant to offer quarterly workshops to teach digital literacy focused on development skills to assist individuals in securing and maintaining jobs.
