Bullskin Township Senior Center Awarded State Grant

Bullskin Township Senior Center in Fayette County has been awarded a state grant of $9,980 according to Senator Pat Stefano (R-32).

Stefano said the Senior Community Center grant is funded through the Pennsylvania Lottery and distributed by the state Department of Aging.  Bullskin Township was one of 43 senior centers across the Commonwealth to receive a grant.

“I’m so please our local senior center and those who use it often will benefit from this state grant,” Stefano said.  “Senior centers serve as a great resource for older Pennsylvanians, providing a wide variety of services and programs, educational opportunities and transportation as well as a place to socialize.  They truly are a lifeline for our seniors and their families.”

Grants are used advance senior community center projects to modernize facilities, encourage technology improvements, enhance innovative programming, attract new members, build on successful practices and, overall help to meet the needs of their participants.
